NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
What makes a good community is neighbours
who look out for each other.
This is a great place to live
and bring up our children. Let’s keep it that way!
ADVICE ON
REDUCING CRIME AND INCREASING SAFETY
If you see any
suspicious activity or unusual behaviour around neighbouring homes or on the street, call the police.
- For EMERGENCY dial 911
- For NON EMERGENCY call Police at 33 division 416- 808-3300.
Give
the police as many details as possible, i.e. description(s) of person(s)
involved, license plate number(s), colour-make-model
etc.
2. Stopping House Break-Ins
There are certain weaknesses in houses, which increase the risk of break-ins. The Neighbourhood Watch Committee has attended a security seminar with the Police Dept. in which these weaknesses and ways to eliminate them have been pointed out. There are products available to help with this, if interested contact BVA via e-mail: Bayviewvill@bayviewvillage.org
Traffic, speed, and
failure to stop at stop signs have increased dramatically in
It is important
for emergency services such as FIRE, AMBULANCE and POLICE, that HOUSE NUMBERS
SHOULD BE EASILY VISIBLE FROM THE STREET DURING THE DAY OR NIGHT.
Otherwise delays in service can occur and this could be costly when
lives are at stake. House numbers should
be large enough and placed in a well lit area in front of the house.
If you have any suggestions as to how we can improve the safety of our
neighborhood, please forward to us at our E-Mail address: Bayviewvill@bayviewvillage.org
