Why Join the BVA?
Make Your Concerns Heard: The BVA offers a direct, amplified line to your neighborhood leaders, city council members and other elected officials. We voice your concerns over safety, security, development, traffic and any other issues that affect us all. In addition, we host All-Candidates Meetings prior to Municipal, Provincial or Federal elections
Meet Your Neighbours: Use the BVA to meet the folks next door and connect with the ones down the street through (COVID compliant) neighbourhood group events, newsletters and news-rich e-blasts.
Comprehensive Directory Access: Contact your neighbours via phone, text, email, or social media
Neighbourhood Watch Alerts: Up-to-the-minute crime and safety informationInside Scoop on Events: Get immediate, first-hand access to both BVA-sponsored and community-wide events. With the COVID lockdown, it's difficult to meet new neighbours and engage with the community. Working with the city and the Toronto Police, the BVA supports a whole range of COVID-compliant events, including community clean-up days; trees and plant swaps; outdoor community gatherings with local leaders like City Councillor Shelley Carroll; InTO the Ravine ecology walks; the string quartet concert series in Blue Ridge Park; and shredding day.
Stay Engaged: Get involved with your local community. BVA membership allows you to join volunteers’ groups, work with or on the executive board, and provides a feeling of access and engagement that is vital for both you and our community.
Why join now? New members who join us now get all the privileges of membership starting immediately, and your membership is valid to the end of 2021.
